If approved, the initiative would:
Require a valid photo ID to vote in person, including during early voting and on Election Day.
Require mail ballot voters to verify their identity by providing:
the last four digits of their Nevada driver's license,
the last four digits of their Social Security number, or
a voter identification number assigned by the county if they have neither.
Accept a wide range of government-issued photo IDs, including Nevada driver's licenses, state IDs, U.S. passports, military IDs, tribal IDs, student IDs from Nevada public colleges, concealed firearms permits, and other government-issued photo identification approved by law.
Allow expired IDs if they expired within the last four years (or for voters age 70 or older, any expiration date is acceptable, provided the ID is otherwise valid).
